Biographies

Gary Fox is a DBA Team Lead at Xerox in Wilsonville, OR. Over the past thirty years he has worked with Oracle database versions 5 through 11g. He has experience with eBusiness, Data Guard, Portal, Discoverer, and various other Oracle applications. Gary is an OCP certified Oracle DBA and taught OCP and many other classes, oracle as well as unix, math, and folk dancing.





Clay Jackson has been involved in Information Technology since the early 1970s and began programming in Fortran and RPG.    He's been involved with relational databases since 1986 and Oracle since 1992 (Version 6.1).   Jackson wrote a paper for Oracle Open World in 1993 that discussed adapting Cellular Telephone Network Monitoring Software to monitor Oracle databases running on Unix.   As employee number 60 at Microsoft, he helped establish the Product Support Organization, and the systems used to track support calls to Microsoft.


He was involved in Oracle's Very Large Database Customer Focus Group in the 1990s and participated in the Oracle 7 Alpha Program. In his current position as Software Consultant at Dell Software Group, he works with customers of all sizes to help them understand Dell's Database and Application Performance Monitoring Solutions.    Current research interests include Information Security, Database and Application  Performance Management and Monitoring and embedded systems used in Amateur Radio Communications.




Jon Wasserman enjoys technology.  He has provided professional skills as an Oracle DBA, Developer,  System Designer and lead Technologist to companies including Nike, Hewlett Packard, Informix,  AT&T, the National Institute of Standards and Technology,  University of Maryland College Park, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency,  US Joint Chiefs of Staff and the US Internal Revenue Service.  He is presently focused on implementing Value Chain solutions in Fortune 100 corporations.  He in deeply committed to  local, national and international communities  in technology , numismatics,  politics and world health issues.
