Introduction to JDeveloper for Oracle Java Programming
This is a practical class focusing on the components of Java that are currently being implemented in business today.
Each student will install JDeveloper on their own laptop along with add-ins to allow them to keep their notes and continue to learn
after the class ends.
This class is specifically designed for Oracle technologies developers who want or need to acquire Java technologies for their daily work.
Java is an open standard but various vendors implement those standards in slightly different ways with different tool sets
that work best to integrate their core businesses. Oracle is in no exception. This class will be taught using Oracle's JDeveloper
tool that integrates closely with Oracle database and Oracle E-Business solutions. JDeveloper is THE tool upon which all Oracle
applications will be built. This class will covered a great portion of JDeveloper's operational environment,
Java language and more importantly Object Orientation design. As a differentiating bonus, many real life programming pitfalls
and techniques will also be emphasized and taught. Be warned, after this class, you may feel more inadequate in your knowledge
of Java before you take it. This is a heathy reaction because of the immense and complex infrastructure that were built upon Java standard
for the past decade. However, we will also give students a realistic and healthy roadmap to advance their programing skill
to various Java technologies in specialized areas. If you do not know Java or are slightly educated, you will be immersed
in learning all practical details. If you think you know Java but not in the context of JDeveloper and Oracle, you will feel very comfortable
working with Oracle Java programming at the end of the class.
